Coparenting in African American Families Research Study

My commitment to strengthening individuals, families and communities extends to my research. I am thankful to have the opportunity to conduct focus groups with mothers and fathers that can inform the narratives about the diverse structures and experiences of Black families.

The purpose of the Coparenting in African American Families Research Study is to understand processes and experiences among African American parents who are not married, but still working together to raise their child/children. The objective is to better understand how parents can have a healthy relationship as they help their children to grow and thrive. Focus group research will be used to capture the voices of participants living the co-parenting experience.

Update: Recruitment for coparenting mothers has concluded and that data is being analyzed. As of fall 2022, study is now recruiting coparenting fathers. If you or someone you know would like to contribute, please email cgrange@clayton.edu.
